Patch Cables

We have patch cables and adaptors that cover the majority of wireless broadband modems in common use. Patch cables are 0.18m long, made from 2.8mm dia RG174 50 ohm cable to give flexibility and has a FME male connector at one end to connect to an antenna lead, and at the other end a connector to suit your modem. Because signal loss in cables needs to be minimised, we keep our RG174 patch cables short and then make our extension cables from the superior RG58/U cable.

Your modem brand and model can be found either written on the case or under the lid that provides access to your sim card.

Huawei Patch Cable

15 Huawei Patch Cable

This patch cable fits the most common Huawei modems and has a FME male connector at one end, at the other end a MCX male connector.
All carriers except Telstra/Bigpond usually supply Huawei modems eg Optus, Vodafone, and 3. And their broadband resellers eg Exetel, Dodo, Blink, Virgin, etc.

Suitable modem list:-
E110, E122, E153, E156, E156G, E158G, E160, E160E, E160G, E169, E169G, E173, E176 E353 E583c, E600, E620, E612, E618, E630, E1762, E1820, E1550, K4505
Patch cable cannot be used with the following modems because they do not have antenna sockets:
E220, E1553, E1756, K3520, K3765, MF6273, MF627.
The Telstra patch cable is required for a Sierra 310U modem.

Telstra (Bigpond) Patch Cable

16 Telstra Patch Cable

This patch cable suits most Telstra and Bigpond modems. At one end it has a FME male connector to suit our range of antenna cables, and at the other end a FSMB connector to fit into most Telstra modems.
Our unique FSMB connector is equivalent to a TS9 connector.

Patch cable fits the following Telstra/Bigpond Modems:
USB Modems by ZTE – MF30, MF60, MF633, MF633+, MF633BP+, MF626i (but not MF626), MF668, MF688
USB Modems by Sierra - 301, 306, 308, 885 7, 310U, 312U, 320U
ExpressCard modems by Sierra - AC503, AC880E+

Netcomm (Bigpond Elite Network Gateway) Adaptor

17 Netcomm Adaptor SMA Male/FME Male

We have an different adaptor available for the Bigpond/Telstra Elite Network Gateway ( Netcomm 3G21WB), the Netcomm 3G10WVT and the Maxon BP3. It screws onto the external antenna connector on the Gateway and then you screw an extension cable onto the adaptor. We only recommend our panel antenna for use with the Gateway.
